Zoho loves Google. Really, it does. The online office suite has once again adopted Google Gears--before Google got the chance to do so for its competing app. Zoho Mail will utilize the offline capabilities enabled by Google Gears, a feature that Gmail has yet to roll out.
It's a familiar store--Zoho rolled out Gears-enable offline functionality several months before Google followed suit with Docs.
Offline access to Zoho Mail requires Gears to be installed on IE or Firefox--the company is currently working on adding Chrome and Safari support. According to ReadWriteWeb, users can download images and attachments in offline mode.
